Promoting The Avengers 

The Avengers website contains webpages such as Videos, Characters, Downloads and Special Offers.  Within the downloads audiences have the opportunity to download desktop images of the characters from the film. By allowing audiences to download something from the film it allows them to be apart of the film and makes them want to go see the film. On the downloading page you can download elements such as wallpapers, fb covers, twitter skins,buddy icons. By allowing audiences to download images of the characters and to use them as covers on social networking sites allows that person to advertise the film to all their friends and allowing them to be drawn into the film and wanting to find out more. When entering the site within the first 15 seconds the film trailer begins to play allowing audiences who have encountered on the site what the film's about, who stars within the film and when the film is released. By placing the trailer at the beginning of the website allows to draw the audience in with the action packed clips. The website has a direct link to itunes allowing audiences to download apps and allows them to have a feel for the film by allowing them to play elements taken from the film.
